This is a an Appeal to Save Ministry of Sound

This to me is one of the most shocking news I have heard this week and could not believe that it could actually happen, Ministry of Sound nightclub could actually be closed down. This is because a residential block is being developed across the venue. I mean why will they do this when the club has been there for more than 20 years.
It is as if the community does not know the contribution that this club has done for the past two decades. Millions of people have had memorable nights at Ministry of Sounds, with A-list Performances every weekend from all over the world, with the likes of Tiesto, Sasha, Afrojack, David Guetta. Not only that, Ministry of Sound has also helped in the development of local talents in the likes of Wretch 32, Example, DJ Fresh just to mention.
Ministry of Sound is in my view a 5 star establishment and such should be left alone. If you feel the same way then visit the link below to save Ministry of Sound by signing their petition. Your signature could go a long way.
Thank You.

Shooting Star is What TyDi is!

Well tyDi has released his debut album. It actually took me by surprise. I did not know he was coming out with an album. Shame on me, next time I should listen to ASOT and GDJB more often. Okay now back to the album now, it is really a good album by the Australian DJ. I like it what more can I say. The vocal support from some of the vocalist real made my day when I listen to this album. I enjoyed the vocals of Tania Zygar the most though. She features in most of his tracks and she arguably to me brought the most when it came to vocal support. There others that should not be left out where Audrey Gallagher in "World's Apart" ,Brianna Nolan in "Never Go Back",Sarah Howells in "Acting Crazy" and Meighan Nealon in "Criminal.
Some of the tracks had a very strong bass background to it which I found very interesting. "Half of Everything" I found a little scary. It reminded me Resident Evil movies. "Ariana" was also one of those tracks that my attention with its soft piano tune, it was more a like a classic piece than a trance track. The track "Criminal" had the collaboration of another good trance DJ named Protoculture from South Africa. The track was really cool with the white sound floating around from time to time.
I really like the album, it is a solid trance album worthy to listen to.

Hospitality Festival Drum & Bass

The Hospitality Festival Drum & Bass album is a collection of various talent that HospitalityDNB have on their label. The album can boast of heavyweights like London Elektricity, Logistics, Danny Byrds, as well as this year's break out artist Netsky. With amount o brilliant and fresh talent displayed on this album, it should be a no brain er for drum n bass fans to get this album.
The first time I cam e across this album was on http://www.breakbeat.co.uk/. It was one of the hottest albums on the chart at that time, no surprise. When I started listening to the album I discovered so many artists that I had never heard of before, like the likes of Nu:Tune, Reso, DJ Hazards, Stranjah etc. I don't know how long some of these artists have been in the game but they really impressed me, especially Nu:Tune. As I listen to the album there were some tracks that I could not stop listening. The first track to really get my attention was "Lotus Symphony" by Netsky. It seems that this maverick can't stop making incredible tunes. He is on his way, trust me. London Elektricity also blew me away with his new tracks "Yikes" and "The Plan Cannot Fail". I can now see why he is a DnB legend. He has some killer piano tunes. I also fell in love with Stranjah's "Cry 4 U" which took samples of a classic Sade track "No Ordinary Love" and turn it to a really good club, loving it.
So much quality in this album, with each artist bring their own uniqueness into the fray. This album truly celebrates the music that Hospitality brings us everyday.

Welcome to Reality by Nero

It has been a long time but finally Nero released their debut album "Welcome to Reality", just days before their single "Promise" topped the UK charts. I have to say congrats to Nero for getting their first #1 hit. When I first heard about their album I was eager to have it. The reason behind this was of this craving for Nero music was due to their single "Me and You" another masterpiece released earlier this year which luckily is also on the album. The album seems to be running on the theme Second Reality; a virtual world in which humans live in. Most of the music feels and sounds futuristic. It reminds me a little of Tron Legacy. Much of the music in this album are a blend of dubstep and drum n' bass. In other words we could say Drumstep since both elements are being incorporated in their music.
The mixture of so many electronic music styles in Welcome to Reality. All the sounds are all worth listening to. This is an album that I am certain would do well since already two hit tracks have done well on the charts. So if you are looking for an album of a mixture of drum n bass and dubstep then Nero's "Welcome to Reality" is exactly he album you need to get.

Unfold the Sounds of John O' Callaghan

This is an album that I have been waiting for a very long time. In fact I have waited for this album ever since I heard singles "Talk to Me" and "Save this Moment" on ASOT (A State of Trance). In my opinion it is one of the best albums in the trance and progressive house music released this year. It had many solid tracks that are very enjoyable indeed. I enjoyed almost all the tracks on this one. The vocals support that features on this album was very impressive. I enjoyed the collaboration made by Betsie Larkin on "Save This Moment" and "Impossible to Live Without You", Cathy Burton on "Perfection", Audrey Gallagher on "Bring Back the Sun (Ambient Mix), and Kathryn Gallagher on "Mess of a Machine". I also enjoyed the joint combination he did with Guiseppe Ottaviani called "Ride the Wave" which was pretty cool. But the track that always gets me of my seat has to be "Talk to Me" which John O' Callaghan did with Timmy & Tommy. A track which was a future favourite on ASOT 494 ( actually it was an Orjan Nilsen Remix but it was cool). There was also a enjoyable ambient track made with Neptune Project called "Rhea" which surprised me a bit, because I was not expecting it.
When I look at it all Unfold by John O' Callaghan must be one of the best trance albums this year, at least I think so. What about you?
